The Software Alliance School's Group is hosting a further information session for members to find out more about the Teacher Mentoring Scheme.
So far, 27 member representatives have stepped forward to become an industry mentor, and these industry practitioners are currently being paired up with teachers ahead of the beginning of the new academic year in September.
With support from Software Alliance members, the scheme seeks to educate teachers about the software industry, the diversity of the careers and opportunities within it, and the key skills and competencies sought after by employers.
Over 37 teachers have registered to be paired up with a member and as the scheme gets underway, the support of more member representatives is encouraged.
If you would like to find out more, the Software Alliance School's Group will host an information session on Thursday 31 August at 10am.
